Kengo Kuma will receive the Andrée Putman Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2027 Créateurs Design Awards. The award is the CDA’s highest honour, recognising a career whose influence has shaped architecture and the built environment across generations and continents. The association cites more than three decades of practice advancing a synthesis of architecture and nature, and reinterpreting Japanese tradition in a contemporary context. Kuma is the second Japanese recipient, following Tadao Ando.
