2020年度秋学期SEKISUI HOUSE – KUMA LABレクチャーシリーズ特別編として、Johnston MarkleeのMark LeeさんとSharon Johnstonさんによるレクチャーを開催しました。
レクチャーではJohnston Markleeの近作を中心としたプロジェクトが紹介され、どのようにそれらのプロジェクトが都市文化に貢献しうるかを中心に議論が行われました。

Mark Lee + Sharon Johnstonについて
Sharon Johnston, FAIA, and Mark Lee are the founding partners of the architecture firm Johnston Marklee. Johnston and Lee are both Professors in Practice at the Harvard Graduate School
of Design, where Lee is also the chair of the Department of Architecture.
Since its establishment in 1998, Johnston Marklee has been recognized nationally and internationally with over 30 major awards. A book on the work of the firm, entitled HOUSE IS A HOUSE IS A HOUSE IS A HOUSE IS A HOUSE, was published by Birkhauser in 2016.
Projects by Johnston Marklee are diverse in scale and type, spanning fourteen countries throughout North and South America, Europe, and Asia. Recent projects include the Menil Drawing Institute, a renovation of the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, the new UCLA Graduate Art Studios campus and the design of the new Dropbox global headquarters in San Francisco.
