Two studios have launched this semester: the undergraduate studio “System and Lifestyle of Houses” taught by Seng Kuan and HIRANO Toshiki, and the graduate studio “House of Ideal” by HIRANO Toshiki.
In “System and Lifestyle of Houses” students will examine housing from the perspective of the relationship between systems and lifestyles, and analyze the diversifying lifestyles in modern society to develop houses.
Three students are enrolled and work towards the final review scheduled on June 2nd.
“House of Ideal” studio examines the ideal of houses by analyzing and modifying the toy house as a physical embodiment of the lifestyle ideals of the times.
Seven graduate students are enrolled and will go through the midterm review on May 24th and the final on July 12th.
